What comes after 4G ? Well . . . It’s definitely 5G

Ever wondered about the long list of possibilities you can have with the internet that can transfer speeds in Gigabytes instead of megabytes ? Ok . So now how about carrying along with you these speeds wherever you go in your smartphone . Sounds practically possible but as per the general understanding , it might take a time to implement this .

But as each one of us is aware of the speeds at which technology is growing by every hour , we still see the hope of an increase in the speeds of the current 4G internet and Qualcomm definitely is on this page.

Yes , this is the same company that bought you 3G and 4G , the  San Diego-based mobile chip giant : Qualcomm, which on Monday, announced the launch of the world’s first 5G modem, the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G at its 2016 4G/5G Summit in Hong Kong.

The Snapdragon X50 5G modem platform will initially support operation in the 28 GHz millimeter wave band.

It can connect using up to 800 MHz of bandwidth via 8×100 MHz carrier aggregation. Using advanced multiple inputs, multiple output (MIMO) techniques such as adaptive beam-forming and beam tracking, the Snapdragon X50 5G modem can extend the range of mmWave transmissions to non-line-of-sight scenarios, and support mobility.5G modem

Now the main highlight here is that this super modem can reach up to 5 gigabits per second download speeds. That’s massive. This means that now you can beat the Airtel girl in a movie downloading competition.

And why just the Indian Network speeds. As per the reports published by Open Signal this year,  the average 4G download speed in the United States is 9.9 megabits per second.

The much more predictable fact is that once this starts getting implemented by the cellular networks and they start offering phones the access to 5G speeds, we can witness much more creative ways in which the smartphones are going to evolve.

The ideology of Cloud storage will be more visible to a greater extent and the practicality of that, when compared to the present situation will definitely improve.

So with this 5G announcement, what Qualcomm is trying to do is , make themselves a position , right ahead of their competition :  Intel, so that it can prove that it still has the world’s best modem technology.

Let’s hope that the coming years of developing technology will be definitely a high speed one in terms of internet speeds and that these will be implemented very soon by the network providers in India and all over the world.

Intex new range of Affordable Smartphones now with 4G VOLTE technology

When Samsung and apple are busy manufacturing high end devices for the mobile consumers, the New-Delhi based smartphone manufacturer Intex technologies has announced the launch of two new phones based on the current trend of rising demand for ultra-affordable Android smartphones.

The Aqua Q8 and Cloud S9 are the two new entries listed out by the company on its website , which are expected to reach the Indian markets very soon . The expected prices of these are Rs. 4,200 and Rs. 6,499 respectively.

While the Q8 is limited only with 3G connectivity, the S9 is offers high speeds with  4G VOLTE (voice over LTE) support, thereby making it compatible with the trending Reliance JIO’s network.

The sad part is that while the Q8 comes in three different color offerings of White, Champagne and Black, the Cloud S9 comes only with options of blue and Grey .
