Well, what do we have here ? A pleasant surprise from Microsoft Team, that will make our lives simpler and easier when it comes to copying test from our android smartphones. So Microsoft has recently launched a new app for Android users called Clip Layer. The app basically allows you to copy text from any screen – including ones that don’t allow selection – and paste it in any third-party app of your choice. Sounds great right ?
Weighing at just 1.64MB in size , it is available via Google Play and works similar to Universal Copy.
How does this thing actually works ?
There are many apps where you just aren’t able to select or copy anything because it’s blocked by the app. Even in the apps where you can, pressing and holding an area then to drag two ends of the grabbers require much precision. It’s just not as easy as it should be.
Now , Clip Layer here , does the magic. Upon installation, it takes over as your assist trigger, which means long pressing your Home Button will now trigger the app and It can be subsequently launched over any screen so you can select, copy, and act on snippets you care about in simple series of taps.
The user can select the different text areas it wants to copy on the screen and then select the ‘T’ button on the top right edge to see what they have selected. After selecting a snippet, the user can copy it to clipboard, add it to Wunderlist to have it accessible across different devices, email it, or share it to any other app installed on your phone.
So do you think this app is going to useful in our daily lives ?
Install it to find it out for yourself .
