After BSNL, it’s Airtel that’s following the JIO trend with unlimited call plans

We had recently come across the news about our own home brewed telecom service provider : BSNL, recently announced the introduction of unlimited call plans at 149 rupees that also has a 300 MB data bundled to it.

This was a desperate attempt by BSNL to sustain the onslaught of competition from the major network providers by the telecommunications giant : Reliance JIO with it’s 4G VOLTE enabled unlimited free calls and internet¬† scheme, there are chances for other network providers to also follow the same lines on the Victory roads of advanced technology service provisioning .

And to prove this fact as a true one , Airtel has now come up with two  new Unlimited call plans of Rs. 145 and Rs.345, where in it will be offering unlimited Local and STD Airtel to Airtel calls along with 300 MB 4G data in the 145 plan and unlimited free Local and STD calls to any network in India along with 1 GB 4G data in the Rs.345 plan. The validity of both these packs stay steady at 28 days.

This certainly does sound cool but the lack of the element of freedom in making calls to other networks in the 145 plan in this offering is a pure indication of dis-satisfaction by a majority of the network subscribers. But as far as the concern of the network coverage goes, Airtel surely does have an upper hand in this battle.

So this is what the current on-going market trends and the competitions brings to the major players in the field : A low down to earth offering that suits the budget of almost every citizen of this nation, especially from the network providers well known for their prodigality in terms of the tariffs.

With this level of scenario of the telecommunications market , what we can expect, is an increase in the number of such reasonable offers to be rolled out by the other players in this market.
